assignment due 6/30
Vermont uses the point system to get the habitual people. They give out a certain amount of points for each traffic violation. If you get up to a certain amount they can suspend your license for a amount of time. The point system does not include standing, parking, equipment, size, or weight. I think this is a good thing so people will stay in line so they can keep there license. And the people that are stupid and don't follow good habits will get there license taking away.

Police said the driver climbed out of her mangled Nissan Altima Monday night as a passenger train was oncoming. Officials aren't releasing the driver's name because she is a minor.
Initial reports said the driver lost control of her car and flipped it onto its roof while driving south on Route 12. She was taken to Springfield Hospital in Vermont and treated for minor injuries.
This girl is lucky to be alive. Maybe if she slowed downand took more caution this wouldn't have happened. She should have slowed down at the tracks.

REVERE, Mass. -- A teenage girl was killed in a motorcycle crash in Revere early Saturday morning and the driver was arrested and charged with drunken driving.
Police said the 17-year-old was a passenger on the motorcycle when the driver, Sigfredo Sanchez, crashed at the corner of Franklin and Centennial avenues. The teen was taken to a local hospital where she died.
Sanchez, 17, a Revere resident, was held on $50,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Chelsea District Court on Monday.

second assignment due 6/22
3. occupants in the back seat
22.Headlight inoperative
36. Doors not locked
68. Drunk
98. lighting a cigarette
123.dozing off
178. ice on road
198. traffic light changing to red
223. squrrel running into street
These are sum pretty big risks to be taking while driving. If this was the cause i believe that there would be a crash. For one you can prevent most of these. You sould not drink and drive is probably the most hazardest. If your headlights are not working you should immediatly get them fixed. If you lock the doors theres a greater chance youwill stay in the car if you get into a collisuin. Don't smoke while driving can get rid of that.Make sure you get plenty of sleep so you don't doze off.Wait for town trucks to lay down sand before you drive on ice. Slow down if a traffic light is yellow so it doen't turn red too late for you to stop. Hit the squirrel so you don't total your car by swerving.

assignment due 6/22
BOSTON -- State Police said they arrested and charged a Springfield, Mass., man with attempted murder and assault Wednesday for allegedly running his BMW off the road on purpose during a fight with a female passenger.
Troopers said they responded to a report of an single-car accident about 8:45 p.m. on Route 90 westbound, west of interchange 7, in Ludlow.
Officers said their investigation showed that Harold D. Palmer, 64, of Springfield, was operating a 2000 BMW 323I on Route 90 West when he became involved in an altercation with his adult female passenger.
At some point, troopers alleged, Palmer purposely drove the BMW off the right shoulder of the roadway and into the wood-line striking several trees.
Both Palmer and the adult female passenger were wearing safetybelts at the time of the crash and were uninjured in the crash.
Palmer was arrested and taken to the State Police Barracks in Charlton were he was booked for attempted murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a car), domestic assault and battery, operating to endanger and a lanes violation.
Palmer was scheduled for arraignment Thursday in Palmer District Court.
This crash remains under investigation.
This is a very stupid thing to do. Your not only endangering your life along with the person hes trying to kill but other people. Palmer should go too jail and if hes let out he should never drive again. At least the female passenger was wearing a safty belt and was not harmed during Palmers litttle stunt.
